In late August of 2005, Adirondac Code Red MH WCX *** was bred to Lacrosse’s Running Brooke WCX ***. After seeing Brooke work in the field, and enjoying her great temperament, we knew we had to have a puppy from this litter. Pilot was born on 11/1/05, and joined us eight weeks later. He immediately showed an extraordinary amount of courage and prey drive, both on land and in the water. By three months of age he was retrieving ducks at 50 yards, and enjoying it. He has always been easy to train, and likes nothing better than pleasing his owners. At 8 months of age he passed two Junior Hunt Tests, but we continued to train him for Field Trials. At 10 months of age he earned a Jam in the Derby at the Golden Retriever National Specialty. Unfortunately he received no training for the next 8 months due to his owner’s illness, but came back and placed second in Derby at the Golden Retriever National Specialty at Seattle in September, 2007. On July 11, 2008 Pilot won the Qualifying Stake at the Treasure State Field Trial at Butte, Montana, at just 20 months of age, and earned his three stars.
Pilot lives with us in a motor home, along with his dad, Cody. He is a wonderful house dog, well behaved and very lovable. He is entirely amateur trained; he has all of his health clearances, including prcd-PRA Clear. |
